I can't help others, or can I? Apathy always wins.?
I am in constant growth (see: kaizen). I have drastically changed my lifestyle. Now, I am trying to help those around me: my mom and family; however, I reach a wall. My Mom does not wish to workout more, and my younger cousins have a super hard time taking their eyes away from the TV and putting their focus into a book. I know I should focus on myself, because "I can't change others, I can only change myself." But the people I want to help are close to me. I want change around me, but sometimes, it gets so hard to motivate them. Any helpful words, books, quotes, or images I could read, see, or feel. Please... I am sadden by the apathy around me.
And no, I am not in danger of hurting myself, haha. I run, do yoga, pilates, and maintain a healthy diet. I just wish others would step up and make personal change, too.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I just really want to get up and make a difference. You should volunteer at an animal shelter or homeless shelter, your always needed, wanted and helping others there.
