Does anybody else here (who does yoga) have a hard time doing plow pose?
I can do a shoulder stand but when i do plow pose i cannot touch my feet on the ground. I can't even get my feet close to the ground?
How do i get over this so that i can do plow pose?
Also, i get scared that i will fall back and snap my neck. I know it sounds stupid but when i was a kid this girl i knew fell and became paralyzed from the neck down. So this sometimes scares me. Is it possible for something like that to happen with plow pose?
This takes practice to be able to do plow pose perfectly. However you can do it to the extent that you are capable. If you need to bend your legs when doing it then it means that this is where you are right now.
The trick is to visualize that you are doing it perfectly. Your mind doesn't know the difference so if you are visualizing it mentally it means that you will be able to do the perfect version of plow pose quicker. This is the way to do it. One step at a time.
If you continue to work on this pose a little bit every day then you will see that soon you will be able to do it.
About the neck. You should be careful and not overdo it. If you feel any pain you should stop. Make sure that you engage neck lock so that your neck is straight and you shouldn't have any problems with this one.
You could try doing some stretching for your back and legs before you do plow pose and you will see that you could do it better.
