tail bone problem?
ok a few years ago when i was at school someone pulled my chair from me and landed kind of on my tail bone on concrete floor! it hurt so much i fainted. I couldn't do any exercise for a while after that (didn't really bother me then, becuase back then i didn't do much) i only really noticed it when i played netball and it hurt so bad.
I stopped for a while, but now (about 3 years later) i started some yoga and some of the poses are hurting my tail bone ouch! like putting pressure on it. also sometimes after standing up for ages it will get a bit sore, or if im sitting with not good posture.
My mums said i could go to an osteopath, would this help,
What do YOU reccomend for me to do??
thanks
Whatever you do, DO NOT GO TO A CHIROPRACTOR! They will manipulate your back while have no idea what is actually wrong with you. They can work wonders for some people, but they could make you so much worse!
You live in NZ ay? You need to go to a physio and tell them you had an accident and fill out an ACC form. If you have to, bend the truth a wee bit. You'll get 10 free sessions, if you need more you can apply for more.
I injured my back when I was 12 since then I've been in 3 different car crashes and injured my back again and again. I'm 17 now and I've been to 9 different physios, 3 specialists. I've had acupuncture, surgery, manipulation, exercises, ultra sound, massage, x rays, bone scans, MRI etc etc. I recommend you go to your physio for 4 sessions, if you don't feel an improvement after this, change physio.
I've never been to an osteopath, my Mum asked my uncles (who are both doctors) if he thought it was a good idea if I went, and they said no, they wouldn't do anything more than a physio.
Good luck
