Using Exercise Bands To Get In Shape
As people's schedules get busier and we find more and more ways to spend our time, it becomes increasingly difficult to find time to work out and get some exercise. In the past, it seemed much easier to find time to get to a gym or fitness club, but for some reason these days it just isn't feasible for most people. This doesn't mean that people are lazy or don't want to get in shape, but with increased workloads and family responsibilities looming, I understand why the obesity rate is what it is. This doesn't mean that I can't help you find a way around this. In fact, I've got some tricks up my sleeve that can not only help you get in shape easily, but you can do it in the comfort of your own home.
Most people think you need fancy equipment to get a good workout, but this simply isn't true. People have been building strong and healthy bodies for years without weights, so what makes you think that it's impossible. There are few tools that I recommend using to not only replace weights, but to help you really blast your body into shape in a hurry. One of them is a yoga ball, also called an exercise ball, which is a great way to build a strong core. The second, which is what I'm going to talk about today, is called exercise bands and they are cheap and easy to find at most fitness stores.
Exercise bands work by providing resistance during a typical exercise. Using exercise bands, you can take a typical workout and double the intensity with ease. Although they seem like nothing more than an elastic piece of rubber, they are specifically designed for exercising with and can be purchased in varying sizes and elasticity's. You can use exercise bands with nearly any type of exercise, such as pushups, and you can also simulate machine or weight style exercises too.
You can ditch the barbells and use an exercise band to do bicep curls, or you can put the exercise band around your foot and do leg lifts or squats. There is really no limit to what you can use them for, but the first step is to go out and get some and see for yourself. I recommend getting one for each difficulty (easy, medium, hard) and testing to see what works to really get your blood pumping. Once you have mastered a certain difficulty, then you can either fold it in half to increase resistance, or you can move up to the next tension strength. Either way, you will be able to adapt to your growing strength.
Exercise bands help you workout in the comfort of your own home doing exercises that you feel comfortable with. You don't have to take a long trip to the gym and you can work each and every muscle that you desire. As with anything, the first step is to take action, so get out there and find some exercise bands and start using them today. If you follow my principle of short and intense workouts, then you will no doubt be able to achieve the perfect body with little time and just a little bit of work.
